Do you find yourself caring for others and not taking care of yourself? Have you been negatively impacted by our current circumstances and find yourself unfocused, confused and scared? Class description: Let's face it while healthcare is a very rewarding line of work it can oftentimes be very draining and the burn out rate is high. We are faced with a wide array of very challenging situations from seeing people in their most vulnerable moments (sometimes their last moments), time constraints, unforeseen events, long hours with minimal breaks, and oftentimes have work stacking up as we try to offer our full presence and attention to each and every patient we see. This can take a real negative toll on our own health and wellbeing. As healthcare providers we tend to take very good care of others yet forget to take the same diligent care of ourselves. This series will give you the necessary tools to take better care of yourself so you can continue caring for others. In this series you will learn simple and useful mindfulness practices to stay grounded, calm, and present in whatever area of healthcare you work in. These practices can be utilized throughout your day, after your shift or integrate them into your daily life for maximum benefit. This series will include the physical practice of yoga, meditation, breathwork, and inquiry or self reflection. No previous Yoga experience is needed or necessary. Bio: My name is Suzy Aragon and I am a nurse of 13 years and a graduate of Namaspa Yoga teacher training in 2012. I currently live in Montana, however I spent 17 years in Bend Oregon before relocating. I went to nursing school at COCC and began my nursing career in Central Oregon. Since then I have worked in various hospitals in different states, have worked in many different departments, and have done some travel nursing as well. I have experienced a lot during my nursing career and have definitely felt burnt out, overwhelmed, exhausted and depleted as a result. I started practicing Yoga to help with stress relief during nursing school and also while going through a divorce. What I discovered is that Yoga was the key to my own health and wellbeing. It gave me the tools needed to be able to begin to take care of myself and manage the stress of a new career and life. I began to practice and implement these techniques of Yoga and Mindfulness and even shared these practices with my fellow co-workers and patients and saw a positive response. My hope is that all healthcare providers are supported and cared for just as much as the patients they take care of.

Welcome to the Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor Credential Course (previously known as Baptiste Power Yoga Teacher Course). The Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor Credential Course is an introduction to the foundational methods for successfully instructing a Baptiste Power Yoga based class. For over 20 years Baptiste Power Yoga has been the best in the world at developing teachers who deliver extraordinary and high impact experiences in the classroom. Whether you are an aspiring instructor, brand new to yoga, or simply curious about teaching, this experience will powerfully provide you with an initial and foundational education on what it takes to effectively instruct an all-levels 60-90 minute Baptiste Power Yoga signature class. We believe the best place to learn new skills and knowledge is inside of where you will be applying it in real situations. Therefore, over the two days of the course we will put our attention on the 11 sequences that make up an effective and inspiring Journey Into Power class. This will serve as the structure for our learning. For the most part you will be learning by experiencing and doing. The concepts and methods in this course are sourced from many years of trial and error and practical experience of what works in the classroom. Program Description: This two day intensive program will give you access to the foundational methods to learn what it takes to instruct a Baptiste Power Yoga based class. The Promise: This course will introduce and explore the different elements that make up a Baptiste Power Yoga classroom experience. It will explore the technical knowledge needed to empower each pose within each of the 11 sequences of the Journey Into Power Primary Sequence. Participants will better use the Baptiste Power Yoga Methodology throughout the flow of a class and learn what it will take to become a successful yoga instructor. Results of the Two Day Course: Begin instructing a Baptiste Power Yoga based class. Put in new skills and technical knowledge to better use Baptiste Power Yoga Methodology. Access a deeper understanding of the Journey Into Power primary sequence as a source for successful instructing. Hold high standards of mechanics in yoga poses. With your Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor Credential you will gain access to many of the benefits of being a certified teacher including your own profile on the website to promote yourself and your classes. Certification Credential Requisites: To receive a Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor Credential, one must attend the entire two-day training. This means: 100 percent attendance to all sessions. 100 percent participation in all break-work assignments. 100 percent participation in all practices (all practices can and will be scaled appropriately for individuals with unique needs). Upon completion, you will be invited to pay your dues and take your exam. Passing your exam and paying your $200 annual dues earns you your Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor credential. You will also be issued a Letter of Attendance upon completion of the program. Letters of Attendance are emailed upon completion of the program survey. The completion of this two-day course will provide you with 15 elective hours towards your Baptiste Power Yoga Certification.
